Shaka Bead Jointed Cloth Doll DIY - Free Handmade Cloth Doll Pattern

I am so excited to share with you, my original cloth doll pattern for "Shaka" a black, African Fabric doll with beaded joints. For this handmade doll DIY, you will need a 2 way stretch cotton fabric. Select the skin tone color of your choice. You will also need wooden beads, or decorative beads of your choice, upholstery nylon thread to connect the joints, and Mountain Mist or Morning Glory fiberfill. I strongly recommend only using this type of fiberfill for this project to give your Shaka cloth doll a firm structure to accentuate the muscular nuances of the doll's body shape.

This doll making project is very time consuming, yet tremendously rewarding. Please follow the instructions that I am providing in my YouTube tutorials that will accompany each part of the textile doll body. If you have any questions for me, please leave them in the comment section of the corresponding YouTube tutorial, I will do my best to get back to you in maximum 72 hours.

This is a new handmade doll step by step project, at this writing in March 2018. However, if a significant amount of time has passed check the other comments to see if your questioned has been answered.

You may use this pattern for personal use only.

Thank you Dolling for joining me in creating this fun handmade doll tutorial. I look forward to seeing you in the next project.

The Pattern pages start at page 17. The pages should print to the actual size of the doll. In some cases you may need to increase or decrease parts of the doll body.

Please extend the neck portion for your cloth doll's front torso. I tried to make sure that the entire pattern fit onto an 11 by 8.5 page.
